Steaming can occur while standing, kneeling or sitting on a modified stool, sauna or chair.

POT
Dedicate a pot or vessel for steam use. Best materials include stainless steel, earthenware, ceramic, metal or glass.
Avoid teflon, plastic or iron pots.

For longer steam durations with a heater set-up, use an electric hot pot or burner.

HEATER
CLOAK
Wrap lower body with a large towel or blanket, sun dress, robe, skirt or sheet so the steam gets trapped from the waist down. Some may choose to wear socks as well as cloak the head with blankets to increase circulation and detox the whole body.
HERBS
Use about 5-6 cups of purified drinking water when preparing steam. Rinse 2-3 tbsp of herbs before steeping in freshly boiled water. Reheat if necessary or transfer to your steam pot.
